Dr. Schmidt, originally from New Zealand, has recently made the move to Queensland’s Sunshine State, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective on dental care.
Having completed his academic journey at the prestigious University of Otago in Dunedin, Dr. Schmidt embarked on his professional career at Christchurch Hospital, where he was an integral part of the Maxillofacial/Dental unit. His time at the hospital allowed him to gain invaluable surgical, specialist, and medical experience. Following his tenure at the hospital, Dr. Schmidt transitioned to private practice in Christchurch, further honing his skills and establishing a reputation for excellence in patient care.
Dr. Schmidt and his partner are excited about their relocation to Queensland, drawn by the region’s supportive dental profession and the plethora of opportunities for personal and career growth. An advocate for continuous development, Dr. Schmidt is looking forward to contributing to the dental community in Bongaree and beyond.

Outside of the dental clinic, Dr. Schmidt is an avid musician with a particular talent for playing the oboe. He has performed in various venues across New Zealand with different orchestras and groups and is eager to continue pursuing this passion in Queensland.
